EMPREP 2027

European Congress on Hospital Operational Resilience & Emergency Preparedness

A new European congress bringing together hospital leaders, operational teams, emergency preparedness experts, civil protection authorities, and industry partners to advance hospital resilience, continuity of care, and cross-sector preparedness.

Location and dates to be announced
Congress focus

For the people who keep hospitals running when disruption happens.

EMPREP is being developed as a dedicated platform for hospital operational resilience, continuity planning, infrastructure readiness, supply chain security, and cross-sector crisis response.

01

Continuity of operations

Command, decision-making, and resilience planning beyond the first 72 hours.

02

Supply chain security

Resilient logistics, procurement, infrastructure, and essential-service continuity.

03

System resilience

Infrastructure, cyber, workforce, and cross-sector preparedness across Europe.

Why this congress, why now

Hospital operational resilience is becoming a European priority.

Hospitals across Europe are facing growing operational pressure from cyberattacks, infrastructure failures, supply chain disruption, climate events, mass-casualty incidents, and prolonged crises. EMPREP 2027 is being developed to create a dedicated European platform for the professionals responsible for keeping hospitals operational when systems are under pressure.

+

Critical Infrastructure

Hospitals are increasingly recognised as essential infrastructure that must remain operational during crises.

Continuity of Care

Healthcare systems need plans, teams, and technologies that can sustain care through long-duration disruption.

Cross-Sector Preparedness

Hospital resilience requires collaboration between healthcare, civil protection, government, military medical, logistics, technology, and industry stakeholders.

A system-level operational congress

Focused on governance, continuity, infrastructure, logistics, cyber readiness, and cross-sector coordination.

About EMPREP

A dedicated European platform for hospital resilience.

EMPREP 2027 is a new European congress dedicated to hospital operational resilience and emergency preparedness.

The congress will focus on the systems, structures, teams, and partnerships that allow hospitals to maintain continuity of care through complex and prolonged crises. Unlike events focused primarily on clinical disaster medicine, EMPREP will address the operational governance space: crisis leadership, continuity planning, supply chain security, infrastructure resilience, cyber readiness, and cross-sector coordination.
